LIFE-CHANGING VERSES OF FAITH

Waiting on the Lord

Isaiah 40:31; Isaiah 64:4; Psalm 46:10

They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

No one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him. (Isaiah 64:4)

Be still, wait, know and be strengthened. Have we lost the ability to wait and be still? Is that why we are so weak and unable to know what the Lord is doing in us, through us, for us and around us? Watch the birds fly from tree to tree singing happily; their movements are light, gracious, free. The eagle soars even higher and is stronger and faster. Wait for the Lord and you will also be light and free and soar above your circumstances and no longer be crushed by them. The Lord will renew your strength and you will be able to walk and run and not get tired as your inner self gets stronger and stronger.

Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10)
